The Bible Holiness Church began as a vision born into the hearts of a small group of believers in the late 1950s. The group was able to purchase the old East Bend Methodist Church building in 1958. The church joined the Evangelical Methodist Church in 1966 and became East Bend Evangelical Methodist Church.
Founded in 1946 in response to God’s leading towards renewal of conservative, orthodox adherence to the Bible, the Evangelical Methodist Church is convinced that Jesus Christ can radically transform a life resulting in a vital, personal relationship with God and a transformed relationship with people of every culture and ethnicity.
† Because God loves the world, not only a select few (John 3:16).
† Because real transformative change and regeneration from life in sin is only possible with Christ (John 3:3, 5-6).
† Because only through Jesus Christ does one find the exclusive, real, and practical truth (John 14:1-7).
Today East Bend EMC is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
